The Contiform Vaginal Pessary Starter Pack contains:

  • All 3 sizes (1x small, 1x medium, 1x large)
  • Removal ribbon
  • User guide

The Contiform Starter Pack, includes the device in all three sizes and a removal ribbon (for most women a size medium is the right fit. We recommend trying all three sizes to select the right size for your body). Once fitted to the correct size, you can then purchase the User Replacement Pack with your size only – when it eventually needs replacing.

The benefits:

  • Protection against stress incontinence and leaks, even while engaging in physical activity
  • Soft, easy  and comfortable to use
  • Can be worn all-day
  • Can be used by those with mild prolapse if they can retain a normal tampon
  • Supports the urethra while restoring the body's natural anatomy
  • Starter kit is best for new users to get best sizing, then purchase size to suit

Contiform® has particular appeal for active women. It can also be used successfully by new mothers, although not within six weeks of delivery. It is NOT suitable for patients with past a grade 2 prolapse and the rule of thumb is- If you can retain a tampon you can retain Contiform®.

You will notice the Contiform has a split in the collar. This allows it to be easily folded/reduced in size for insertion into the vagina. It also helps reduce any excess pressure on the bladder neck, to prevent obstruction to urinary flow. The device must be replaced when it no longer effectively supports the urethra. This is usually every 30 – 45 days (or much longer if used only a few times per week).

You should not use the Contiform Pessary:

  • During sexual intercourse
  • In the 1st trimester of pregnancy, but can be used under medical supervision in 2nd and 3rd trimesters
  • If you have a vaginal infection such as thrush, vaginal erosions or sores
  • If you have cystitis
